THE RANCH

Named for the Spanish word for lilies that dot the rivers throughout the region, Lampasas is home to a small “tried and true, salt of the earth, my kind of people” population of roughly 7,300 residents.

Hinterland Ranch is nestled on 40 mesquite, cedar and oak covered acres about 10 minutes from the small downtown of Lampasas. God having blessed our lives through and through, we are lucky enough to have family for neighbors. Our longhorn cattle are free to graze and roam the combined acreage sharing their space with the whitetail deer, turkey and black bucks that just happen to stop on by..

In addition to raising longhorn cattle, we produce our own honey that we collect from the hives on the ranch. The sweet taste of wildflower honey slathered on a fresh from the oven biscuit, is just about all you need before heading out to work underneath the big Texas sky.

As we grow, we hope to add more of God’s great creatures to our land both for a love of animals and for the gifts that they can provide. As our children finish their high school years and start making their own path in life, we hope to see you all at local farmers markets or out on the ranch for some of those honey biscuits and someday maybe share a glass of Hinterland IPA. If you’re gonna dream, dream big. Right?
